Scripture Based and Holy Spirit Empowered
As a ministry based on Scripture, we strive to have all we do line up with the Bible. We also value the leading of the Holy Spirit both in the preparation and provision of Sabbath Rest Retreats for Pastoral Ministry Couples.
Servant Leadership

The Leadership Team of REST Ministries Canada will have a servanthood mentality, focusing on providing Pastoral Ministry Couples with the time and space needed to find and enjoy true Sabbath rest.
Format
​
The retreat format will be minimally structured, allowing for large blocks of unhindered time for Pastoral Ministry Couples to spend in God’s presence and with one another. This format will lend itself to safety and confidentiality, as well as the leading of the Holy Spirit in both their ministries and marriages.
Prayer
​
In order to maintain and preserve the integrity of each retreat, prayer is absolutely essential, before, during and after by our Prayer Partners. This is the engine that drives each retreat and the mandate for all individuals involved.
Financial Donors
​
Financial Donors are an important part of REST Ministries Canada as they allow us to prepare and provide Sabbath Rest Retreats to Pastoral Ministry Couples at a minimal charge. They will be fully informed about the impact these retreats have on Pastoral Ministry Couples in the form of evaluation and feedback.
Measuring Effectiveness

Each Sabbath Rest Retreat will be measured by Pastoral Ministry Couples through Exit Evaluations upon departure. Also, the Leadership Team will meet quarterly to conduct business, assess evaluations, interpret feedback and plan for the future.
Sharing our knowledge
​
REST Ministries Canada is committed to sharing information and experience regarding the preparation and provision of Sabbath Rest Retreats with other potential retreat leaders, in an effort to multiply such opportunities for Pastoral Ministry Couples globally.
Protection and Accountability
​
The names of Pastoral Ministry Couples who attend our Sabbath Rest Retreats, and of our Prayer Partners and Financial Donors, along with their contact information, is protected and not shared with any other organization.
Retreat Parameters
Retreats are offered to Pastoral Ministry Couples within Evangelical Christian Churches through an application and approval process. All Pastoral Ministry Couples must sign off on the Statement of Faith held by REST Ministries Canada before attending.
